Preparation

Preparation can make an unknown setting less intimidating for children. Children and families who are prepared and educated on new experiences are less likely to display negative reactions. Preparation can stimulate curiosity and promote normalization of the new environment

Play

Play is an essential part of learning. Play can allow your child to learn without even knowing it! As children play, they support the development of cognitive, emotional, and physical skills. These skills promote confidence, cooperation, sharing, and empathy! Childhood play becomes a skill for life.

Parents

In order to create a strong family unit, parents and caregivers must share their calm when children are overwhelmed with big emotions. A family presence can decrease your child’s anxiety and increase coping strategies within your family unit.
